Thank you for taking the time to visit our blog and we welcome your thoughts and insights!

Recruitment is a critical business function; all growing businesses need the right mix of talented, skilled and energized employees to continue driving the business forward.  Recruitment is so much more than “getting the seats filled” and over time, Recruitment has become a unique industry/specialization with its own requisite skills and competencies.  The contents of our blog will focus on the Recruitment Industry and we hope to provide you with valuable information and insight about various subjects relevant to Recruitment, as well as news and trends in the Recruitment function within industry and for those recruiting through agencies. With this installment, we will introduce what is perhaps the most discussed trend in Recruitment today: Recruitment Process Outsourcing or RPO.

While RPO is new, outsourcing most certainly, is not. Many industries have embraced outsourcing over the past 15-20 years. It has become common practice in customer service and first line support for the telecommunications industry and the path of choice for many firms where information technology and infrastructure is a tool set and remains peripheral to core business activities, such as in the financial services industry.

Does RPO represent a paradigm shift in Recruitment overall or is it an evolutionary process that will see specialized tasks passed onto firms with specific expertise allowing businesses and HR professionals the opportunity to focus on core business activities that add value to their bottom line? Over the next few blog posts, we will discuss the outsourcing experience of other industries, examine what RPO is as a service offering in the Recruitment industry and discuss the business drivers that firms will need to investigate to make the decision to engage an RPO provider or make recruitment a core business unit within their organization. If you have any questions about RPO that you would like to see addressed in an upcoming blog post or seek to understand how it can benefit your business specifically, please contact us at ANTON Consultants – we look forward to hearing from you!
